Software consultants Peter and Kirsty Grainger founded AuthoDox in 2004. Their goal was to apply their long history of expertise in the IT industry beyond consultancy.
They had realised their sought-after procedures and practices they set up in firms and businesses around Australasia could be streamlined into software packages.
Over the next 10 years, the business grew on recommendations from clients to others. Each new client had unique office issues and requests. Subsequently, programs were incorporated, enhanced and developed into comprehensive solutions that could be fully customised for each client.
In 2013 AuthoDox was recognised as a provider of solutions that raise employee productivity by the New Zealand Government though the Open Door to Innovation run by the Department of Internal Affairs.
AuthoDox's creative way of solving each client's unique problems and continually enhancing programs has ensured the AuthoDox products evolve, giving more value to our clients every year.
The end result is powerful software that no other organisation can offer.
AuthoDox is about Authors and Documents. By focusing on the 'front lines' of organisations, AuthoDox achieves its goal: to save people time, money, and effort.
We are very proud that a lot of our new business comes from word-of-mouth referrals from our clients.
We believe this is because:
we work with our clients to bring ideas and best practice to their office,
we provide unconditional support and advice to our clients, and
the unique attitude, business honesty and practical creativity of AuthoDox employees is what
makes us able to devise effective solutions for every office we go to.
A firm belief in outcomes has kept AuthoDox prices extremely competitive. AuthoDox is much more affordable than competitive international software, saving New Zealand organisations thousands of dollars.
In 2013 the Department of Internal Affairs ran its Open Door to Innovation program (ODI). The ODI was a process for engagement between the Department and ICT sector participants to identify innovative ideas of merit that address one or more of the "Directions and Priorities for Government ICT".
AuthoDox Limited was identified through this program as offering "innovative, whole-of-government solutions".
In particular, our tools to increase productivity for users of Microsoft Word were recognised as a solution that has genuine benefits for everyone involved in day-to-day document tasks, such as report production.
